Primer on plaster

by Gilbo777 » Sun Aug 01, 2021 8:31 am

Hi. I have a few square feet of new plaster and I put primer that I already had on it yesterday . However I completely forgot to dilute it to create a mist coat.

Can I do anything to rectify the mistake, or should I just paint over it and hope for the best?

Hi gilbo777
Try putting a strip of sticky tape across the area. If it pulls off the paint layer when you remove it you probably need to do remedial works. If the primer mainly stays in place just do the hope option.

Thanks stoneyboy

A small area about the size of my hand came off. So all done, and fingers crossed for the rest of it
