Problems with Cannon Gas Fire cannot get it to Stay Lit Information, help and advice on many gas related subjects from gas fires to domestic appliances

Hello all,

Having problems with my gas fire. I can get the pilot to light however cant get it to stay lit after depressing the ignition knob. Also after taking the fire apart to see if cleaning would help and if the thermocouple was ok i seen that more than the pilot comes on. Any ideas whats wrong?
