Problems with thermostat wiring

by pau157 » Thu Nov 15, 2007 4:04 pm

Hi, I have just bought a Drayton Digistat+ room thermostat but i am having trouble understanding how to wire it up, as my system has never had a room thermostat i have to start from scratch with the wiring, my timer control is a Landis and Gyr Rwb200. The connections on the stat are:-

1: Heating Satisfied
2: Call for heat
3: Common/switched live from time control
4: Negative (not required)

Any help would be greatley appreciated.

Bit tricky to be sure about wiring at a distance, but you use pin 2 (Call) and pin 3 (Common) on the stat and connect to pin 9 and 10 on the timeclock back plate.

You may find the pump live is already connected to pin 10. If it is, move it to pin 9. This will put the stat in series with the CH part of the timeclock.

Ok, right, let's try this then.

Have you got wires connected to pins :- Negative, live, pin3 and pin 4?

If so disconnect the wire from pin 4 and connect the room stat pin 3 in it's place. Then connect room stat pin 2 to the cable you have disconnected.

This should put the stat in series with the time clock.
