Pull up and Dip Indoor Fixing

by BlastitJim » Mon Jan 25, 2021 12:44 pm

Hi

I'm looking to fix this https://www.pullup-dip.com/pull-up-dip-bar-indoor to a single brick wall. They recommend I fix it to a wall that is atleast 180mm wide using rawl plugs that are 75mm long and bolts that are 90mm long, weirdly they suggest drilling the holes atleast 110mm in to the wall (donno why).

The area where I'd like to place it is a single brick wall that is 115mm wide. So I'm wondering if anyone could advise if they believe using these bolts https://www.screwfix.com/p/fischer-fsa-sleeve-anchors-silver-10-x-85mm-m8-20-pack/66010 would be a safe alternative, or if I'm just asking to pull down the wall or for an injury. The alternative I have is to put it somwhere on an thicker wall but I'd rather not as I won't be able to get full use out of the pull up bar. The support is fixed to the wall at 7 points.

Thanks for reading, Nick
