radiator trouble please help!!

Postby soggy » Tue Oct 09, 2007 9:04 pm

We have installed a new radiator downstairs, by teeing off of a radiator upstairs and extending pipework downstairs. All the other radiators work but we still cant seem to get the hot water to run through the new downstairs one. Can you tell us what we are doing wrong. There does seem to be a lot of air in the pipes but bleeding them has made no difference or turning the pump up either.

what size pipe have you tee'd into ? if 8mm or 10mm, I wouldn't waste time trying to get it to work.

If you've tee'd into 15mm or 22mm pipes, then it's probably airlocked.

What type of heating system do you have ?
