radiators not hot enough

by webbo1975 » Fri Jan 09, 2009 4:15 pm

Boiler is on max but radiators do not get that hot more like luke warm this is a back boiler not sure of the make maybe glowworm. All radiators have been bleed but still the same and water get red hot. Would draining the whole system make this any better? Or any other ideas? Thanks Chris

It is often the case that back boilers feed the heat to the hot water system via gravity and the heating system is pumped. I would check that the pump is running firstly.

Hi,

Spose it could be sludged up-- so draining and refilling a few times may help.
Dont forget inhibitor when you refill the last time tho.
Boiler stat could be at fault also.
