In one of my bedrooms and the downstairs room I hear an intermittent lodu sound when it is raining heavily. In the downstiars room a very small hole has appeared in the ceiling. Around that hole is a vague water mark.
Two roofers said the problem wasn't with my house, it was next door. Another roofer told me that my chimney needed capping which he did but the sound is still present.
Any ideas as to what the problem could be and who I would turn to for remdial action
