Rattling of georgian bars on windows

by inchjohn » Wed Feb 20, 2008 3:49 pm

Hi,

Please can you help!

Recently i've had double glazing with brass georgian bars fitted to my house, I noticed upon closing windows that the bars were rattling on all windows bar one! I contacted the supplier and he stated that it's a common fault with the brass type georgian bars and they could not prevent it. would you be able to confirm if this is true as he also stated that the white plastic bars have a centre piece added to prevent rattle.

I'm getting nowhere at the moment and was wondering if you could also confirm who he could contact to confirm if what window firm is stating is correct.

Thanks for your help
