red brick cleaning.. removing ivy stains

red bricks..removing creeping vine stains. I've just taken down some Ivy and its left lots of marks on the red bricks. I've been told to b careful of using a jet wash as it may harm the bricks pointing! does anyone know what i could use to get this clean? thx

QUEALLS,
Whatever you use it is either going to damage the brick face or the mortar. Try thoroughly wetting a small area and use a pressure washer - you may have to wet the wall a number of times before the Ivy residue softens. If the bricks are clay (not sandfaced) you could try wire-brushing.
