Refreshing the grout on my cement and tile floor

by virginma » Tue May 15, 2007 9:48 am

My kitchen floor is looking very shabby but I can't stretch to a new one. It is stone tiles, laid over grey cement. The cement is worn down in places, and the odd tile is chipped. Can I spruce it up by re-grouting in a cream/beige colour to lose the grey cement look? Can I do anything about the odd chipped tile?
Very grateful for guidance!

See our project on removing grout when hard and in teh tools section you will see a grout rake. This tool can be used to remove the existing grout and then you can replace with grout of your choice. See our project on replacinmg a damaged brick to replace a chipped tile, the principle is exactly the same.
