regulations for bathroom doors

by raveen » Tue Aug 21, 2007 11:56 pm

is it true that all bathroom doors have to open outwards. my builder has told me this as i dont think hewants to change what he has done. my understanding is you walk in to a room so hence walk in to the bathroom

can some one confirm this

No its not true. In fact outward opening doors will often open onto a landing which is undesirable.

Only regs that affect bathrooms doors is a sufficent gap underneath for make up air for the extractor fan.

Hope this helps.
