Removing Bath Panel to install new shower

by yeancheant » Mon Jun 18, 2007 9:38 pm

My bathroom came with a bath and 2 faucet - hot & cold. I was hoping to buy a shower-mixer-tap and fit it to the bath. Problem is I can't seem to pry open the bath panel. Its a plastic piece with 3 screws and a cap at the bottom. I have remove the screws. There is some space at one end of the bath, next to the wall. I've tried using the screwdriver to pry it open - the bath panel bended quite a bit but I don't think I'm close to the end of it.

Any ideas ? Do I actually need a new bath panel as well if I replace the shower-mixer-tap ?. And if I do, will I need to cut the panel etc to mould it to the wall. Thanks

Yean
