Removing Light Fixture in Bathroom to Replace Bulb

by LiamMayfair » Sat Aug 20, 2016 3:41 pm

Hi guys,

Recently my bathroom's light bulb died and I need to remove the fixture that covers it. However, this thing's got me completely stumped. I have no idea whatsoever how to remove it!

I've noticed the dome has a slot on one of its sides but I don't really understand its purpose. So far I've tried twisting the fixture clock and anticlockwise whilst pressing upwards and not pressing at all (just rotating). I've also tried a couple things with the slot itself to no avail.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

From the look it seems to simply clip in place, penny or large screwdriver in the slot and twist forces both parts apart and simply push back in place after. I really hate them as often you end up marking the fitting as you remove the cover.
