Removing Spout From Mixer Tapto Replace Washer Due to Leak?

by MaryW » Fri Dec 19, 2014 7:37 pm

My kitchen mixer tap is leaking where the spout meets the main tap area, and I need to remove the spout so that I can fit a new washer. I understand the spout should be easily removable by either loosening a small screw at back or by twisting spout to find an area where it can be lifted out.
1. There is no screw
2. I have tried repeatedly to find the lifting point for spout without success.
Can anyone help please?

Sometimes the spout is held in place with a collar that needs to be unscrewed first.

Really without a picture its only guesswork as there are so many different taps about.
