Repair an uneven ceiling

Postby m.yuill » Tue Mar 30, 2010 7:02 pm

I am decorating a bedroom whereby I have had the chimmey breast and fitted wardrobe either side removed. In parts of the ceiling whereby the removal has taken place I am left with a unevenness. I have rubbed it down with sandpaper but still no joy. It looks as if there is some form of seam there.
It stands out like a sore thumb almost shines at you, in spite of the ceiling having had two coats of paint.

Thanking you in advance

The best thing is to take that part of the ceiling down, fit some plasterboard in its place and replaster.
