by arryh » Sun May 17, 2009 2:40 pm

I need to replace the cement on my roof verges and valleys. However early attempts have not been so good. Does anyone have a good cement mix and tecnique to make it easier??

Cheers!!

arryh,
A normal mortar mix 6:1:1 should work fine. If you are overcoating the existing mortaring the old stuff and surrounding tiles should be well wetted before applying the new - try to ensure you have enough depth to add at least 20mm thickness.
end

You want 3:1 for "flaunching " or " haunching" , quite stff mix.

Maybe even a shovel of sharp sand as 1 of the 3 , depends what you got lying about ; )
