Repair or replace a Vent Axia Solo T bathroom fan?

Postby pagodagrover » Thu Jun 25, 2020 9:07 am

I have an old (15 yrs+) bathroom extractor fan. It is linked to the lights so turns on when the lights come on, and then turns off with a timer after the lights are switched off.

I recently cleaned the filter, but when I replaced it, the fan no longer worked. The little red light comes on, so I know it is still connected to the mains, but perhaps not to the motor (or lights?).

If anyone knows whether this is a connection problem, or a motor problem, please let me know?

I'd rather not replace as the new fans look to be upwards of £150.

Here is a picture with the cover taken off.

Much appreciated if anyone can help.

Thanks
