Replace toilet and alter sewer outlet

by KarenC » Wed Nov 03, 2010 12:01 pm

Hi, What I'm wondering is is it possible to replace a toilet that is connected to the clay pipe waste system through the concrete floor and it looks UGLY!!!
We are having the bathroom modified and would like to turn the toilet around but this would show the existing sewer pipe even more - so without too much work is it possible to do this without showing that unsitely brown pipe and white connecting multikwik - is there some kind of toilet that sits directly over the sewer?
Any advice most welcome.

You can replace a toilet without a problem and there are models available that can cover the ugly soil pipe. You need to check the measurements of the pipe position, because if it is too far from the wall, the toilet will not push back far enough to reach the wall.

You cannot easily move the pipe position, so turning or moving the toilet might be difficult.
