Replacing Radiator nut That has Cross-Threaded

Postby SubtleD » Tue May 14, 2019 6:12 pm

Hi all,

Came to re-fit a radiator after taking it off for decorating and the nut attached to one end has somehow become cross-threaded and won't do up properly (it seems to be the nut rather than the TRV as I've tested screwing a spare nut onto that end with no issues).

Any ideas on how best to remedy this without replacing the radiator? Would it be possible to use an olive puller to get the olive/nut off the radiator pipe and fit the spare nut I have, or is it likely to be a bit more "permanently" attached? I've attached a picture if it helps.

Cheers!
