Roll and Stroll stuck to wooden floor panels

Postby gilliana57 » Thu Jun 01, 2023 10:09 pm

We had the ultimate cowboy builder, but that's not what I am here to discuss. He laid Roll and Stroll a year ago onto the laminate floor of our HMO being renovated. I have been trying to remove it, but it is only coming off in tiny pieces and I have many feet of corridor to clear. Does anyone have any suggestions how to peel it off quicker? Or is there any solution that can be applied that will not damage the laminate flooring underneath?

Thanks

Hi gilliana57,
Suggest you use a hot air gun to soften the adhesive so removing the R&S is easier but you may then have to remove the remaining adhesive with a solvent like white spirit.

Thank you S, would there be a chance that the hot air gun could burn the wooden floor? I am a little concerned about that, would a hair dryer work almost as well?

Hi gilliana57,
The hair dryer should work just as well as a hot air gun set on a lower setting - try it and please let us know the result.
