Roof tiling around Velux on new build

by Ajsnewbie » Mon Jun 06, 2022 2:26 pm

Hello there. I have recently had my New build house tiled. I noticed the edging to the right of the VELUX doesn't look right. The roofers told me they couldn't use an edge tile as it would put the whole roof out. I'd just like some reassurance that this is correct. Many thanks.

Hi ajsnewbie,
This is always an issue with roll concrete tiles where the roll centres are a complete tile. It could be made tidier by cutting the very edge off 4 tiles and gluing these in place to cover the join strip. Unless you have a wet diamond cutting table, cutting a narrow strip will be impossible.
