Safe to remove wall?

by fabgav » Mon May 14, 2012 7:57 pm

Hi all, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, please move or advise if so.

Right, having read the excellent guide - https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/lo ... _walls.htm
and using the table can someone confirm this for me please :)

My joist are spanning a gap of 2.8 mtr, 500mm wide and 1700mm tall.

Now the gaps between the joist are a little random, the largest being 280mm to the smallest being 190mm

From the table and the above information, I believe it is safe to take the walls below it down.

Any one care to advise??

Cheers

the guide is helpfull but every project is different,if your having second thoughts I would call a reputable builder to assess it for you, better safe than sorry.
