It looks like the scaffolding company I used have gone out of business. I can't contact them by any means, their website has gone and phone numbers I used are not recognised. There is still scaffolding in place and it has been there for months. I suppose I can get some one in to dismantle it but what can I do with the parts? I suppose this is a legal question in some ways as, frankly, I'd like to get some one to dismantle and take it away. I don't care what happens to it after that. What do you think?
Hi When I bought a house and lots of stuff was left behind my solicitor said to cover myself and show I had made reasonable attempts to contact the owner, to send a recorded letter to the last known address and put an ad in the local paper, stating that unless it was removed within 14 days I would be disposing of it as I saw fit. In the end she did it on my behalf. She also advised I was legally obliged to take reasonable care of the items within those 14 days. Not exactly the same situation I know but I would say the same principle applies.
