screeding floors

mite sound like a stupid question but does screed mix contain water what are the rules and right way to do this job

when you screed a floor you use a semi dry mix. this is sand and cement with a little amount of water in it. if it is too watery it just slops away and you cant compact it down or float it.

thanks for that could you give me a little bit more advice on that ie the best way to do it preperation how long for it to go off etc
