Not specifically plumbing but I have just installed a quadrant shower tray that is sitting on 15mm screed and a marine play base below. All is OK but I am faced when looking at the shower at almost 30mm of marine play and a layer of concrete.
I want to cover/seal the edge with probably some PVC strip but flat not gooved as most bath/shower sealing strips are. I've got some thin wood strip but that just does not sit nicely and I really don't want something that will rot over time - hence simple PVC strip.
I hunted high and low for plain white pvc strip that I can mastic and seal : to the front edge but alas no can find.
Anyone got any idea where I can find/solve my dilemma. :?
Go to a local Double Glazing shop or workshop in your area. They carry any number of plastic trims and moldings to hide gaps between doors and frames etc. They can be cut down using an ordinary saw so the width is not an issue.
