sewage smell in dinning room

please could some help
every morning when we get up we can smell a sewage smell in our dinning room we have had the drains checked they are not blocked
there is no gas leak
the main sewage pipe runs behind the room could this pipe be leaking and how could we tell the smell goes after a couple off hrs

mondeoglx,
There is a good chance that one of the joints in the soil pipe has come apart, start your investigation at the lowest part you can easily reach.

tks for the reply the pipes is all covered under patio only can see end drain pie must be 5ft down
