Sewer smell upstairs when flush downstairs

Hi,
When I flush our downstairs toilet there is a sewage smell in the upstairs bathroom.
There is no obvious blockage.
Any advice please

Hi cmw,
You need to check that you have a vent pipe at the highest point of you home system.
