Shower Connected to Sanislim Macerator

Post by fizzphil » Thu Feb 07, 2019 10:50 am

I have my shower connected to a sanislim macerator. I have connected the drainage under the tray at a height of about 17 cms above the macerator which is 2 cms more than required. The run to the macerator is about 1.5 metres.
However for various reasons the first 40 cms of drainage pipe is almost horizontal before then falling away for the last 1.1 metres down to the macerator.
Will this short piece of (almost) horizontal pipe slow down the emptying of the shower tray. I have just tested it and it seems a bit slow to empty but I'm not sure if this is normal for a macerator
TIA
Phil
