Shower Drainage & Power Shower

by mmcc » Mon Jun 14, 2010 12:22 pm

I have an issue with the drainage in my shower in my en-suite bathroom. The shower will not drain unless you flush the toilet. I believe there is a pump that connects the toilet & shower drainage systems. Also if you pour water into the toilet this will also drain the water from the shower unit. Any ideas on why this is happening? The toilet when flushed howls until the cistern is full...

Once this drainage is sorted I want to get a power shower installed. The cold tank is above the kitchen (2 rooms away) and the hot tank is in the airing closet in the bathroom. Would I be able to get a power shower in?

Also any recommendations on good and reliable plumbers in N. London would be appreciated.

Thanks, M
