shower t-bar replacement

by jack52 » Tue Jan 18, 2011 8:50 am

I need to change a shower bar but found that the hot water inlet pipe is on the right. Can i simply turn a normal bar around and use that as I am having difficulty in finding a bar to fit the problem

Really, are you sure???? Most unusual!

If you did turn it upside down I guess the only problem would be the outlet for the hose would point upwards which might cause it to kink.

Check to see if any of the shower valve models have reversible supplies. Some do, but admittedly, I have never seen a bar shower with this option.

Can you not alter the supplies to the correct way somewhere such as in the loft?

Afraid this is right, pipes inset in the wall and come up from the ground and under a concrete floor. Don't know why its been done this way but it's a pain in the neck.
