Shower valve should be hot turning clockwise but it's not?

Postby S Dhanda » Fri Oct 20, 2023 9:24 pm

Hi all. When I'm turning my shower mixer clockwise the water should go hot but its coming out cold.. When turning anticlockwise it's going hot when it should go cold.

My hot supply is on the left and my cold is on the right which is correct. My understanding is when these two are mixed up the issue I'm having occurs.

What would be causing this issue? Could there be a defect with the valve itself.? Any advice would be much appreciated. I've attached picture of.valve. Thank you.

Hi s dhanda,
If this is a newly installed valve (or new to you) it may be that the valve has been installed upside down.
