Silk emulsion gone bumpy...

Post by Pooo » Sun May 02, 2010 10:48 am

The second coat of silk I put on, with a short pile roller, has not smoothed out. It looks like finely textured artex! I don't mind sanding it all, but how do I stop it happening again? It wasn't too hot or cold when I was painting. Any ideas...please?

Pooo,
The paint was probably too thick, try a thinned coat and see if this applies OK.
end

Stoneyboy,
Thanks for the tip, it helped a lot although I ended up brushing it out as well mainly because of the remaining texture underneath. Looks fine now, thanks again for answering.

Hi, your tip worked, guess it was too thick. I ended up brushing it out anyway, but mainly because of the remaining texture. Looks fine now, Thanks again.
