SIME BOILER INTERMITTANT NEEDS RESETTING TO RUN

Post by Westlands » Wed Feb 16, 2011 8:57 pm

We have a SIME Format Combie boiler which when switched to central heating mode (CH), it will come on and heat the water until it gets hot enough and circulates around the radiators. But then it will not come back on and the top led flashes green. If you switch th system off it will come back on and will repeat to heat the water until it shuts off and circulates. According to the instructions the green flashing led means faulty fan. I do not understand because a rest sets it working again - the fan works every time you do a reset and you get hot water circulating.
If it is on domestic hot water mode (DHW), it delivers hot everytime and hence the fan comes on, only in CH mode the error appears. Any ideas?
