Sime halstead Trio problem

by Antony » Sun Sep 16, 2007 6:59 pm

Hi,
We have moved into a house with a Sime Halstead Trio combi boiler. The boiler seems to be working because the pipes next to it heat up, but the hot water is not getting through to the taps or radiators.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

is there enough water pressure in it?
there should be a gauge with the needle sitting about 1 bar
if not there will be a filling point external of the boiler with a valve which you can open to increase the water pressure(just remember to close it when finished) it should fitted with a silver coloured braided hose which you may have to connect

if the water pressure is ok it may be the pump stuck which is inside the boiler

cheers
