Single Brick Wall and Hanging Kitchen Cupboards

by Chrisyg » Sun Aug 07, 2016 9:27 pm

Hi there, just bought a house where living/dining room had been knocked through to one room. I'm in the process of reinstating the wall in single brick tied in at each end; neighbouring party wall and main supporting wall of the house. The wall will be 3m long by 2.2m in height allowing us to have an extended kitchen. My question is, is a single brick wall of these dimensions OK to hold a run of fitted kitchen cupboards? Many thanks.

yes its strong enough, so long as its tied securely into the other walls using a starter strip system or bluebird fixings
