Single Skin Storm Porch Condensation Issue

Post by bjf2019 » Mon Jan 21, 2019 3:14 pm

Hi,

We've got a single skin storm porch, on the front of which is our main front door (double glazed composite door). We then have the old front door which leads into the house. There is currently no ventilation in this porch area (for ref, the floor area is approx 1mx1m) and we struggle with loads of condensation in there, which inevitably leads to mould. Especially bad in colder weather.

Currently we are putting the dehumidifier in there pretty much every day to combat the condensation, which is not a practical long term solution.
What would be the best way to stop this condensation? I was thinking of installing an air brick, or maybe an extractor fan on a timer (bathroom style)... Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ben
