slate repairs around a conservation rooflight

by Dan Stewart » Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:04 pm

:( Hi all,

We would like to seek the opinion of a good slater?? We have recently had conservation rooflights installed (bought from lumen) and the slates have been replaced around the rooflight but there are now gaps approc 2" wide. I can see what the slater has done in that e has had to patch in slates to sit over the skirt flashing that is integral with the conservation rooflight. Are there any alternatives to having gaps in the slates?? I know instinctively that it is wrong but just need reassurance- happy to send a photo if you are interested in helping us

Thank you

Dan
