Smooth MDF Finish for Custom Bunk Bed

by jamie83 » Mon Aug 17, 2015 9:23 pm

I'm in process of designing a custom bunk bed, im likely going to be using mdf to clad the frame. my customer has asked for it to have a smooth plastic like finish. is rustins the best option for this?

You could use a Rustins enamel paint which would give you a nice shiny finish, although you might be limited in colours.

We heard of some people that have use spray paints from Plasti-Kote to successfully achieve the sort of finish that you describe. Have a look at these for example: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/DIY-superst ... uper+gloss
