Sourcing Timber Casement Windows on the Cheap?

by cuzman1977 » Tue Jun 06, 2017 3:00 pm

I've been asked to source some timber casement windows, two for the rear of a house. I need a "left" and a "right", which open outwards on the rear of the property. They need to be 1050mm high by 900 wide.

Now here's the thing. Wickes do some as standard which are larger, and they cost less than £200. When I speak to the 30 or so bespoke companies I've found on the net and ask them what it would cost, they are asking for anywhere between £500 and £800 a window.

Surely there is somewhere that does these things cheaper, but I'm at a loose end here.

Anyone got some advice?
