Split in door jamb after emergency entry

by jtang » Mon May 03, 2021 10:10 pm

Hi,

One of my door's jamb got split when we had make an emergency entry.

What's way to repair this? Very much a novice of DIY!

Can I secure it with some screws? The doorframe is slightly off the wall as a result.

Thanks

Hi jtang
Glue the split jamb back together using wood glue and clamps. Once this has set you can the screw the jamb back to the wall.
