stand alone pir

hi there
i hope i am in the right place for this
will a mains stand alone pir activate a alarm siren that i want to fit near my heating oil tank and can you buy mains sirens or would i have to step the voltage down to 12v

Use a pir which is ok for low energy lights and a mains siren.
