steel bath on concrete floor

by neet » Sun Jun 10, 2007 10:54 am

we are in process of diy new bathroom suite installation. On a concrete floor, do we need to place battens under feet of steel bath for spreading load? If so, why? Any other hints/tips would be appreciated

Not for spreading the load as it does not need to be spread on concrete floors, this is only for floorboards. BUT>>>>you may find it easier to fix a batten to the floor (see our project on fixing to masonry) and then you will be able to fix the feet a lot more easily. Its really hard work trying to plug and screw bath feet under the bath.
