Steel ties between purlins

We are opening the roofspace on our 17th Century cottage (we have LBC!). We need to tie the purlins to prevent outward roof movement but would prefer steel cross-members than timber. Do you know suppliers?

Your local builders merchants should have a list of suppliers Alan.
