i have just had a bifold shower screen fitted and it has started to stick when closing or opening the screen, looking at the track at the bottom of the enclosure i can see a white powdery substance[perhaps calcium!!].
after cleaning it with a toothbrush it becomes ok but doe's anyone know why it get's there[we do clean and dry it after each shower] and more importantly how do we stop it

Often new shower doors are supplied with silicone grease to lubricate the runners. Maybe you could try a smear of Vaseline if you haven't got silicone grease. It may prove what the problem is.
