Sticky external 3-pin socket

by sean.cody » Fri Jun 13, 2008 4:19 pm

I have an external 3-pin socket. Its proving very hard to withdraw any 3-pin plug I use in the socket. Its so sticky I now risk pulling the socket off the wall. Is there any suitable / safe lubricant I can apply to the socket to remove the problem. Pls advise on this or any alternative solution. Thanks.

HI sean.cody,
What do you mean by external socket? is this located outside?
I personally would advice you to replace the socket-outlet but firstly check it is not the plug that is not causing the problem with bent pins!

External = outside

Its sticky for all plugs, so I guess that means I ought to replace the socket then.
