Stone Tiles on Wooden Floor.

by robcrabb » Wed Sep 12, 2007 2:39 pm

I need to lay some 4" stone tiles on a wooden floor with ply wood on it.

Grout and Adhesive - I cannot find a combined grout and adhesive for this application in any colour but grey! Does one exist in white/ivory etc?

I am told that the ply wood must be a minimum of 12mm thick with 300mm centres screwed down - is this true?

Please help!

Thanks :?

hi Rob,

You should use separate adhesive and grout both available from topps,

Also just make sure that the wood/ply is secure,
you may want to add some mix to the grout to ensure is flexible.

Good luck

Like gam said you need separate tile adhesive and grout.
Your tile adhesive must be flexible too, not just grout if you dont want to redo everything in couple months.
