I decided to change the ceiling rose in my bathroom. The wiring wasn't labeled. I have a twisted pair of black wires and a single black wire and a single green wire. I have no idea what is live or neutral. Any ideas?
You need a tester of some sort. I once tried to detail a way to test without but was banned from this site as a result as it was reported as being dangerous which I did not agree with but as a result I do not try and explain this method any more.
