Hi. I have a standard pull out bath plug (metal) that has become completely stuck in the plug hole. Nothing unusual was done with it. I can only assume that some grit has gotten wedged around the plug/plug hole when it was put in but now it just won't pull out. I've tried spraying wd40 over the plug and then tapping with a hammer to try and work it in, but this doest seem to be helping. I'm considering trying to drill the plug out, but I'm concerned I may inadvertently damage the plug hole/bath in doing so.
Hi tmk7, Replace the string with some garden wire, twist this over a metal bar with its end on the waste. Lever upwards pouring boiling water on the waste flange at the same time. Regards S
