Sub Base for Paving and Blinding Quarry Dust on Concrete Slab

Hi

can i put quarry dust or blinding on top of concrete slab. im laying an indian sand stone patio. i had intended on putting 40mm full bed mortar then slabs on concrete. but i had to raise the level a bit. i dont want to be putting down a mortar bed of 3 inches
