Switch Problem

by DIYMonkey » Sat Jun 16, 2007 6:18 pm

Hi all, newbie post.

I have a dual gang switch with connections as below:

Switch 1
COM - Brown connected to switch 2 COM also 2 more Brown wires.
L1 - Brown wire.

Switch 2
COM - feed from switch 1 COM
L1 - Brown Wire

All blues are connected together - switch is plastic so all earths connected together.

I have changed the faceplate and can't now get switch one to turn on the relevant light - could someone steer me in the right direction please.

You may have mixed up the brown wires, or done up the screw on the insulation of one core. If sw. 2 turned on does sw 1 then work? If so swap wires on sw 2 (com-L1) leave link in comms.
Presume you have 3 blues in term block?
